How to get to the Galapagos Islands

As you might expect, transportation to and from the Galapagos Islands in Ecuador is pretty limited. Up until 2004, there was only one airline (TAME) that flew from the Ecuador mainland to the islands. Now, though, there's an additional airline (AEROGAL). Having an additional transport system to the Galapagos Islands has helped bring prices down a little.

Flights to the Galapagos are expensive. The two airlines that fly to the islands, AEROGAL and TAME. We will be more than happy to book the flights for you.

The main ports to leave for the Galapagos are in Quito and Guayaquil, though you can get flights from Cuenca and other major cities that make connections in either Quito or Guayaquil. Only Guyaquil and Quito offer direct flights.

Price depends on high/low season and whether you're a child.
Low Season: 1 May till 14 June and 15 September till 31 October - High Season: 1 November till 30 April and 15 July till 14 September.
Quito-Baltra-Quito: High season USD 395 - Low season USD 330, Guyaquil-Baltra-Guyaquil High season USD 345 - Low season USD 300; Quito-Baltra-Guyaquil High Season USD 370 - Low season USD 320.

Children pay 50% of the ticket. Children 12 and older pay adult fare. Infants pay 10% of the ticket. To obtain these discounted rates, we need however to have a copy of the passport!
